Did I do something wrong?

I asked a girl I met online on first date. I asked her if drinks at 9 pm worked. She responded by saying that 9 is a little late for her and asking if we can do 630 pm because she has to be at work at 6 am the next day. 630 pm is too early for me logistically based on the time that I get out of work so I replied, "How about 730? That'd work a little better based on my schedule."

 

Haven't heard back from her yet and she's been online since, but this all happened today so she may still reply. Assuming that she doesn't write back, did I do something wrong and if so, should I follow up at a certain point?

I don't think you did anything wrong, it just seems like your schedules don't match up well enough to date. The earliest you are willing to go out is later than the latest she is willing to go out. I assume she has moved on to guys whose schedule are a better fit for her.

Suggest to her a date when you can meet her at 6:30 pm or see her at a weekend.

Agree with TX Guy. You didn't do anything wrong - it's just that your schedules aren't compatible.

 

How about offering early drinks on a Friday or Saturday night?

Were you open with her? Sometimes things can be misconstrued especially over text.

 

You could say "I work til xxx so the soonest I could meet is xxx....is that too late?
