YourNotAlone Posted August 14, 2016 Posted August 14, 2016 Hello members of Loveshack, I hope you're all doing well. So I broke up with my ex-girlfriend about 4-5 months because she was unfaithful and betrayed me with someone else and now they're dating which hurts but things happen. I have been in No Contact for 2 months now, what I'm confused about is that whilst I'm studying at college i don't have any type of thoughts about her because I'm occupied with studying but on the other hand when I am alone the thoughts begin and it kills me I can't get it out of my mind, will a time come where she no longer exist in my mind? because right now that's all I want! 1
NopeNah Posted August 14, 2016 Posted August 14, 2016 Yes the time that you no longer think of her will come. In the meantime when she crosses your mind do something productive. Workout, play a video game,go for a run, call up a buddy,ect.. 1
Satu Posted August 14, 2016 Posted August 14, 2016 Just let the thoughts come and go like any other thoughts. If you resist them you just create tension. *You get what you resist. *What you resist, persists. Eventually the thoughts will run out of energy, and only rarely come to mind. Take care. 1
