We exchanged a few pleasantries, then he said he's like to meet. I told him when I was available, so we set a date for Saturday night at 7 pm at a specific restaurant/wine bar in my city. We exchanged numbers in case anything comes up. I haven't heard a peep from him since that brief exchange on Tuesday, though I was hoping he'd text at some point during the week to say hello, since we seemed to have a good rapport. Should I text him to confirm? Or just show up at the specified time/place unless I hear otherwise?

I have never had a positive result out of those types of meeting meaning setting up a date quickly and then being days with no contact. 1
