How often should you date at the start?

I never really understood the process of dating and how often the norm for meeting up with that particular person is.

What have you found in your experiences?

Did you go on a date once a week at the start then slowly spend more time together.

I'm basically asking this because I would like to see this person more than once a week but at the same time I don't want to come off as needy and make sure she has space to think and develop feelings.

I'm only young and get eager when I meet a new girl at the start so I could really use some advice.

Thankyou.

How often doesn't increase attraction or deter it. Attraction is attraction....it's either there or it's not. Everyone is different. So if you wish to see them 3 times a week and they don't, then you are not a match, simple as that. This falls under the category of relationship expectations. When I went on a first date with my husband, he asked me out at the end of the date for the following night. I accepted, and the rest is history. We saw each other 3 to 4+ times a week on average.

If you wish to see them more and they don't, then is it not obvious the attraction is not there?

For me, once or twice a week is perfect. It slowly grows from that if the attraction is there. Any more, and I feel like we run out of things to do/talk about sometimes. It's good to keep involved in your own life... Friends, activities.

Also, I think it's best to keep things fun and I really enjoy more active dates in the beginning. Do something together - go to a movie, bike ride, cooking class... Whatever is interesting to you. Drinks and dinner dates depend on conversation which is sometimes hard to do, especially over several dates in a short time. Personally, I think people bond better when they are having fun and sharing an experience together.
