Hey guys,

 

I've recently been on a second date with this really great guy!

At the end of the second date he gave me a kiss on the cheek when I dropped him home.

He texted me the next day and in conversation mentioned over text how next time he will have to take me somewhere nice! (As we only have ever been for a few drinks)

 

A lot of people say that if you haven't kissed after the second date then forget it?

 

Does this guy sound like he is interested? I'm new to the dating scene after a long relationship, and hate not knowing what he's thinking!

Ignore other people's "rules" - when dating you go with the flow. If a first kiss didn't fit in really, and one of the two of you tried to fit in in somehow because you "had to" it would have made everything awkward. It happens, when it happens.

A guy never wastes his time asking for more dates if he has no interest. Make sense?

Thanks! I def don't mind making a move - I just dont want to do it if he's not interested or end up looking too keen! But I have gathered he must have an interest so I will just go for it and hope for the best

Guys will definitely not ask you out if they are not interested. It's still early... I don't know that you need to take the lead. Just be sure to give him the idea that you would be receptive. There are no rules... Just have fun!

It sounds like he is still interested if he said next time he will take you somewhere nice.

 

He may not lack confidence. He may not be seeing your signals that you would like a kiss and is being respectful.

 

I always watched for that look in the woman's eyes, a sort of beaming, that says, "kiss me".
