KamaKyzie Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 Hi there loveshack, A girl I like asked me how I slept and I said "Amazing". She replied "why?" I am about to reply: "A killer mattress and a killer body:p" I just wanted to run this past people to see if they thought it sounded egotistical and vain, as it is not my intention. I just want to flirt. My backup response is "Rad dream and killer mattress". Would that work better instead, as her likely response will be to ask me what the dream was?. Girls, how would you react to that? Thanks guys, hope you are all well. Any advice will be hugely appreciated.
Sunkissedpatio Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 You mean your body is a killer body or you slept with someone with a killer body? I don't get it.
Author KamaKyzie Posted August 4, 2016 Author Posted August 4, 2016 You mean your body is a killer body or you slept with someone with a killer body? I don't get it. My body is killer. "A killer mattress for a killer body:p". Sorry, maybe I should have worded it better.
Sunkissedpatio Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 No it's fine you worded it fine. I mean what kind of banter do you have with this girl, do each of you give yourselves praise in an over the top way waiting for the other to react? It sounds douchey, if you want to impress her that isn't going to do anything for her. If you want to flirt you could say something like great mattress and even better dreams, and when she asked what dream tell her you dreamt about her or something.

I would read you slept amazingly because you were with a person with a killer body who gave you a mind blown sex. 2

Author KamaKyzie Posted August 4, 2016 Author Posted August 4, 2016 Egotistical is fine, as long as you can be witty or funny about it while you talk yourself up. Your lines don't do either, so they just come off poorly. You may be better off just trying to chill a bit, and stop trying to come up with the best lines for the simplest questions. I sent it and she replied "right". I hope my goose isn't cooked, maybe I'll backpeddle and say " see how bad bragging sounds?" because I told her to stop bragging the other night. You are right, I am trying too hard because I really like her. I will chill out from now on. Any idea how to salvage the situation? Will the tongue poke reduce the blow?
Sunkissedpatio Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 Don't back peddle, use sarcasm instead if you were trying to prove a point. Like: Actually I was going to pay you a compliment but you do such a good a job at talking yourself up, I'll probably tell you something you already know anyway. Let her think about it.
gorf Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 " see how bad bragging sounds?" well, being it sounds like you were bragging about sleeping with another girl with a hot body, thats what several people myself included initally thought you meant.. I kinda think all that response will sound like is an apology for bragging about sleeping with some girl with a killer body. Not going to help. Probably best to just be quiet, then come back and see what she says or asks questions about another girl.. then you can actually apologize for the text and inform her you slept alone, thinking of her, etc. Hopefully that will smooth it out but women analyze everything
gypsymess Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 I believe just sending something along of the lines of, "Now that I reread what I texted you, it sounds pretty stupid huh, lol!" would be enough to clear that up and show her that you are not so egotistical after all. 3
basil67 Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 Agree with Enigma and Gypsy that you should message her to say how stupid your text sounded. Then change subjects. FWIW, I read it as if you were referring to your own killer body. And yeah, agree that it was a douchey thing to say. "I had sweet dreams" would have been far cuter. 2

Its probably best to be cute in text, and flirt face to face or maybe over the phone. If she cant see your face hear your tone of voice, see your body language... it can come out wrong and leave her guessing in the wrong ways, depending on the type of girl.

Thanks for not being too harsh, I'm only 20 and have never had a serious girlfriend before, more flings. I really do like this girl and want to get serious with her. So you don't think that one off comment will be a deal breaker? I'm giving it until dinner then I'll text.

Then drop the subject and move on. You'll be fine. Good luck! 2
basil67 Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 KamaKyzie, just one hint for your flirting: don't draw attention to being hot. To do so sounds too vain. Trust me, if you're hot the girls will notice without you mentioning it
