Springsummer Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 FB is really stupid! I have this friend who is really royal to me, aka, she often like my post. So I saw her post asking copy and paste this multiple sclerosis post for 1 hour for her, so I can't help it...I saw this guy I am interested in just log off 10 min ago, so I thought he surely won't login for another hour? I forgot he probably has notification for my post! so 25 min later, when I realize that I run back to my facebook to delete the post! Lord, there he was, online. He must SAW it! He usually don't login that frequent. Is he really put my on his close friend list so he got the notification? last time, I put a post I noticed he immediately login, so I suspect he put me on notification. but, but....we don't really know each other! my lord, I am a healthy person(as far as I know), what if he thinks I have MS:sick: stupid social media! I got screwed up again!
Author Springsummer Posted August 3, 2016 Author Posted August 3, 2016 So, such by such 'coincidents', is he really following me?
Gloria25 Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 Fakebook is pure evil.... If you follow it, you will go insane. 1
Author Springsummer Posted August 3, 2016 Author Posted August 3, 2016 Fakebook is pure evil.... If you follow it, you will go insane. I am going insane already! I turned off chat......hope the guy doesn't think I turned off him. he must be wondering why I post while appear offline. God, go insane already! I hate my friend now!
Author Springsummer Posted August 3, 2016 Author Posted August 3, 2016 (edited) You probably don't want to be with someone who has such hereditary decease, right? now he probably he thinks I have:( I should just just ignored my friend's request! my friend is so stupid. what copy and paste will help? I am so stupid!!! Edited August 3, 2016 by Springsummer
Author Springsummer Posted August 3, 2016 Author Posted August 3, 2016 Can I be certain that he put me as his close friends? otherwise, I can't think such incidents will happen twice. I should only put great post! now this!
basil67 Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 You're making a mountain out of a molehill. If he did see your post, he probably just scrolled past it quickly like all the other random posts. And even if he did see it, he'll probably just think that someone in your life has been touched by it. However, as a disability advocate, I'd be more concerned about you being embarrassed by MS and deleting the post. It's not shameful to either have a disability or to raise awareness of it. However, being embarrassed by the post and deleting it actually puts shame on disability. He won't get notified of your MS post unless he's ticked to get notifications of all your post. And lastly, I doubt that anyone has spent actual time wondering why a person is posting but available/not available to chat. 10
basil67 Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 Also, your friend isn't stupid. What she's done has hopefully opened your eyes to the fear, shame and discrimination that disability can bring with it. Because you've just exhibited all those traits in your first reaction. These feelings are yours to own and address. Hopefully this fellow you are interested in has a broad mind and won't think twice about it. 2

It's not shameful to either have a disability or to raise awareness of it. However, being embarrassed by the post and deleting it actually puts shame on disability. Yes, I know. I am selfish. At the end of day, I don't want to find someone who has disability. Shame to admit that. He won't get notified of your MS post unless he's ticked to get notifications of all your post.. That's what I suspect. Please see my post. The one before this post, he immediately went online as soon as I post. now this...so I highly suspect so.
Author Springsummer Posted August 3, 2016 Author Posted August 3, 2016 These feelings are yours to own and address. Hopefully this fellow you are interested in has a broad mind and won't think twice about it. who won't think twice? to be honest...who wants to deal with that? I know that's bad, but I can hardly take care of myself without health problem(so far).
basil67 Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 Yes, I know. I am selfish. At the end of day, I don't want to find someone who has disability. Shame to admit that. Well that's on you. But don't assume he shares the same attitude as you.
Author Springsummer Posted August 3, 2016 Author Posted August 3, 2016 Well that's on you. But don't assume he shares the same attitude as you. I think that will scare most people (sorry, if this offend you if you have a disability.)
basil67 Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 OK, attitudes to disability aside, your reaction to this issue far outweighs the actual problem. Do you have issues with anxiety? 3
TunaCat Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 Why would he think you have MS just because you posted about MS? Who would make that leap? If I posted about some form of cancer, does that mean I have cancer? No, it probably means I know someone with cancer or it's a cause that's close to my heart. You're WAY overthinking this one. 1

Thanks. that guy made me overthink! wow, so he follows me, otherwise why such perfect timing? but he never like my post though, it seems he doesn't like other people's post either. but really? he follows me? he has hundreds of FB friends. many of them pretty women. one can only follow a few people on FB, otherwise, it will make you go insane. um.....

No, he didn't make you overthink. You're doing that to yourself. And you're still over thinking. It's far more likely that he logged on at the same time as you posted by coincidence. The only time to assume otherwise is if you *repeatedly* see him going online at the exact time you post. My question about your anxiety issues still stands though. You're going to find that it causes problems in relationship if you don't address it. 1

Not everyone who does that has the problem, they might just know someone who does!!!!! This is beyond overthinking . . . forget about it. 2

I guess it's also possible perfect coincidents do happen not once, but twice, third....

OK. thanks but the text makes it looks like I originated it. but anyway, I tend to be paranoid I guess.
Author Springsummer Posted August 4, 2016 Author Posted August 4, 2016 How about this: as long as he doesn't initiate anything, I will just assume he is not interest? forget about all these coincident. That will help me. Thanks everyone for let me vent and chip in.

Assuming the text has something to the effect of 'copy and paste this to your wall for one hour", EVERYONE knows that it's just a copy and paste post. We all see them multiple times per week and don't think twice about it. Again, what are you doing about your anxiety issues? You're still over thinking. 2

Author Springsummer Posted August 4, 2016 Author Posted August 4, 2016 Have you seen any improvements? Does your family have concerns? Oh, drop it now. I think you are over the top. I think I probably better than many people. Who doesn't have some 'anxiety' under certain circumstance? it's easier for you to say when you are not affected.
