Jeannie Posted July 2, 2005 Posted July 2, 2005 I found it interesting no one has replied to this - just goes to show you how many people truly do not want to let go! I was on here wailing about my breakup earlier this week. I started a new job yesterday and I swear - by meeting new people and having new goals - my self esteem came rushing back and it was just the cure I needed - a total change of scenery). I have goals and realize it's futile to waste another minute pining over him - what good is it doing me? It's over, I've accepted it - chapter is closed - time to move on. People waste too much time dwelling and having pity parties. I swear the key is to force yourself to accept it and move on quickly. Find a new job, new hobby, new friends (just getting out in public and smiling at people while shopping can do wonders). Just get out there and stop crying over spilled milk. I swear it's hard to do but you gotta force yourself - life is too short. Wake up and smile - even if you don't feel like it. Tell yourself "I've got alot to offer - I'm a wonderful person" - don't wake up and start reminiscing about the time the two of you went here or there.......you're killing yourself by doing that. Get up and get out of the house - do anything but sit and think too much. And read inspirational things like the link greyskies posted on here!
