It's no different than if they went out to the bar and let men buy them drinks but never have any intention to go home with any of them.

They clearly write on their profile to be there ''only to chat''. Their husband usually have no conversation. They are bored of them yet they still ''love'' them. At the end of the day though I'm certain this will end up in divorce, you don't sign in to a dating site or app ''only to talk'' There's something else behind. I skip these profile now. Men tend to be a little less sophisticated but strangely also more honest with themselves with cheating. Men will go on tinder to try and have sex with another woman or try and take her home from a bar. Pretty straight forward. Often they are not interested in anything more just a shag. Women sometimes do this but generally cheat differently .... they start with emotional cheating and generally create a kind of mental illusion that they aren't really doing anything wrong when they in the early stages of shopping around for potential partners. They are looking for backup options or new guys to create a "soft landing" for themselves when they leave the current relationship. 1

I've not cheated on an app but I certainly know what it's like to feel complete emotional disconnect from a partner. Otherwise there are some people who want the attention, are addicted to variety and what's new, and so they seek out others to excite them.
