deep_night Posted July 27, 2016 Posted July 27, 2016 so, i started dating a friend of mine and he gave me a custom made gift. it was fragile, so i didnt want to put it among my other stuff in my handbag, i put it in another pocket but the zipper wouldnt close so i left it open. unfortunately, it either slid off or someone stole it i noticed after we parted and i arrived home. i went back and forth the 1 hour route 3 times in hopes of finding it, but nothing my friend/date was really excited to give it to me, and i was very excited to receive it. and now im devastated it isnt about the cost but about the effort and the thought. i worry that he'll probably be hurt if i tell him what should i do?? should i tell him now, or sometime in the future? or should i not tell him? what if he asks about it sometime??

If you stay silent and he notices you never wear it then his mind could go all over the place. Keep it real as the Kool Kats say these days...
Author deep_night Posted July 27, 2016 Author Posted July 27, 2016 aw, its not something that u can wear, it's the kind of thing that's really personal, that you'd keep in your drawer to look at. the only way to show it off would be to put it in a photo frame. but after a search i found out the seller actually uploaded it in his website (i guess i got a bit lucky after my bad luck today). so i hope that if i make a copy he wont notice the difference if someday he asks to see it just for nostalgia's shake :/ or i can say i made a copy and keeping the original somewhere precious and locked. i just dont want to hurt his feelings, he was really pumped up about it. im all for honesty, but after him doing all this effort to make a trip and bring it to me right after another 8 hour trip with no sleep and work the same day... and his happy face when he gave it to me... i just cant :/
