Dakota419 Posted July 25, 2016 Posted July 25, 2016 I got this girls number. I like her and want to ask her out. We were former Co workers in different department and I asked for her number when I was quiting the job. She was very eager to give me her number. We didn't get to speak to each other that much when I was working in that company... As a matter of fact we don't know each other too well. How do I go about asking her out so she knows it's date or hinting it's a date is not necessary given the circumstances? I like her and I plan calling her tomorrow. Thanks.
winny Posted July 25, 2016 Posted July 25, 2016 Because you dont know her at all... why dont you give her a call and say that you are going out for some activity - hiking or movies or some games - with some friends and would like to invite her.... see if she comes and how her behavior is with you.... if everything seems fine then next time ask her for an 1-to-1 date.

How am I going to invite someone to an event that is not happening. I think she would come when I ask her. But do I ask her out on a date or not?
DramaInPajamas Posted July 25, 2016 Posted July 25, 2016 She was eager to give you her number. Ask her for coffee / lunch or go in for the kill and ask her for a drink after work. If she isnt keen, then you know. It matters not that he doesnt know her well: how many of us go on blind dates from OLD?

One of the girls here suggested I call her rather that text, which I will. Should I go in for small talk when I call and tell her "I would love to meet her for dinner on X-day or Y-day" and see what she says? Is dinner too much?
Author Dakota419 Posted July 25, 2016 Author Posted July 25, 2016 I am thinking about this and dinner seem too much for First date. I mean I do like this girl but don't know her that much. A cup of coffee/ iced chocolate or ice-cream and a walk should suffice, right?
