misty15 Posted July 23, 2016 Posted July 23, 2016 Hi all So I've been on the online dating scene for a while now and am starting to give up hope lol. I was chatting to a guy for a couple of weeks who seemed really nice, we had a lot in common always texting everyday and he said he wanted to meet. There was no sexual innuendo on his part at all which i thought was very refreshing and he didn't send 50 selfies. Anyway this afternoon i received just randomly a pic of his junk with his face in it wtf? I gave a frosty reply and said why did you send me that? He replied that he was sorry and he was trying to text hello and a pic of himself came up and sent accidentally! Hahaha how stupid do guys think i am?!? I then told him to not sent that s**t again and he told me to f**k off and called me a retard. He then profusely apologized he didnt mean it blah blah blah. Why do guys do this?? Even when like i said there was no sexual talking before everything was really intellectual. Sorry for the rant feeling frustrated and annoyed!
Author misty15 Posted July 23, 2016 Author Posted July 23, 2016 Is this just what im expected to get from being online??? God help me
BikerAccnt Posted July 23, 2016 Posted July 23, 2016 Not all of us are like that. Unfortunately I've heard similar stories from many women to know, that a lot of us are too. Have to admit, that's one thing I've never received unsolicited from women, was a picture of their junk
CryForNoOne Posted July 23, 2016 Posted July 23, 2016 He did you a favor as you don't have to waste any more time with him. But I have to ask. Why do you people waste "a couple weeks" texting each other before meeting? I chat for 5 minutes max then either we agree to meet or move along. Tje longer you wait, the more likely you end up chatting with a weirdo. Meet already!!!
Author misty15 Posted July 23, 2016 Author Posted July 23, 2016 Thats very true, I will know next time! Just the fact he lived 1 hour and a half from me and was waiting for the right time to meet but i guess he was just playing around the whole time

That was a quick flash of his true personality, then he remembered himself again. At least 2 weeks of texting gave you an insight into who he really is, so time well spent IMO.
Gr8fuln2020 Posted July 23, 2016 Posted July 23, 2016 I've received nude/suggestive pics from a couple of ladies in the past. It was weird, I would never send pics of myself, but these ladies freely and w/o prompting, sent them to me. I dated them for a bit, but in both cases, distance became an issue. Both professionals, lovely and looking for a genuine connection. I hope they eventually found what they were looking for. Anyway, yeah, I've heard and read (OLD) from a number of ladies of guys doing this. I don't get it. Misty, I would expect this sort of thing to continue. OLD presents some interesting opportunities for people dying to express themselves in ways that they normally could not. Anonymity allows this.
CryForNoOne Posted July 23, 2016 Posted July 23, 2016 Very basic OLD advice. All men want sex. A gentleman is just one who shows a little class and self restraint. Also, guys who have their ***** together don't waste time becoming pen pals. We have busy lives and other options available. If he spends two weeks messaging you before meeting, it's very likely that he's lonely, desperate, a pussy, a psycho, catfishing, or married. Odds of of being married further increase if he's 90 minutes away. I get why women are cautious, but realize that it's only a rotten 10% that ruin it for all the other guys. By protracting things out, you think you are being careful, but actually what you are doing is filtering out all the normal guys and leaving yourself with the freaks. Meeting doesn't mean marrying or even dating. It just means meeting for a few minutes. You learn so much more in 5 minutes than hours and hours of texting... 1

In this situation it sounds like the delay in meeting was to the OP,s benefit. How would it have benefited her to meet him right away? 1
CryForNoOne Posted July 23, 2016 Posted July 23, 2016 (edited) But isn't a good thing that she didn't meet up with this creepy dude? In this situation it sounds like the delay in meeting was to the OP,s benefit. How would it have benefited her to meet him right away? Because dragging things out for 2 weeks filters away most of the normal guys. Women text for 2 weeks because they are being cautious. Men text for 2 weeks because that woman is their only option. Why is she his only option? Because he is HIDING something. Either he has ZERO game, is married, catfishing, or something else bad. I guarantee if you spend less time vetting out guys, the quality of men will increase. Focus on quick, convenient meetups in safe public places with minimal monetary investment. I do the same and I've almost never had a BAD date. My biggest complaint has been that she didn't look like her pics or we just didn't have a connection. I've never had a "OMG please get me the frack out of here" date and neither has she... Edited July 23, 2016 by CryForNoOne
carhill Posted July 23, 2016 Posted July 23, 2016 Why do guys do this?? In your specific case, based on what you posted, mental or emotional illness or malaise comes to mind. He flipped. In any event, if it doesn't flow, let it go. The interactions that feel right impel positive actions in a deliberate manner and, generally, quickly. Trust your instincts.

So I guess he just happens to have pics of his junk on his phone? I think you dodged a bullet, particularly with how he behaved after the fact.

So there are women that are sending nudes to men, and...they are wanting something long term? Really? Strange way to go about it. Usually they'd be the types that would just meet a neutral place for a hotel romp. I also think some people get braver online behind the keyboard. But it also doesn't help matteres if a woman posts, say a below the neck photo of their body in a tight dress or pointing the camera at their cleavage...with only part of their face squeezed in there. Men kind of think it's a green light to make remarks about their photos. Edited July 23, 2016 by LookAtThisPOst
biker23 Posted July 23, 2016 Posted July 23, 2016 I laugh at the guys that do this. I have yet to hear a woman that likes it. I have received unsolicited pics and videos from women. It certainly changed my expectations of that relationship. Because I'm sure I'm the only one she has sent those to. Hahahahahaha 2
LookAtThisPOst Posted July 23, 2016 Posted July 23, 2016 I knew of a woman on Facebook, apparently some Internet model (aren't they all) wasn't a dating site, but a Facebook pic she uploaded...she was bending over in front...looking over a balcony at the beach. There wasn't much of the shoreline, but she was bending over, in Daisy Duke shorts...a** in the camera. Men made suggestive remarks and she was offended. lol *Shrug*

When you call them on it, they get indignant and make excuses that one's appearance has nothing to do with one's beliefs...really? Pics of you almost naked has nothing to do with your beliefs?
