There are private groups on facebook but you have to be invited. There are dating websites for those who have HSV-1 and HSV-2. Personally I have both HSV-2 and HPV.

I have not had much luck with dating on positivesingles. I would not rule out dating someone who's not HSV positive. I just got out of a relationship with a woman who was not HSV positive.

Believe it or not, around 90% of the population is positive, there's just some people don't show symptoms because their immune system keeps it in check. I think there are dating sites or meet up sites for that. I wouldn't make that your main focus on finding someone. If you take Valtrex that should help keep in check along with I think Lysine which is an amino acid that helps control it too. If you eat healthy, get plenty of rest, you should be able to keep it in check. But don't make that you main focus on finding someone, you could end up missing out on a great person because you were only focusing on that. Most people today has health issues, I for instance have Celiac which is a severe intolerance to gluten. If I tried finding someone else who had Celiac, that would really lower my dating pool.

No, 90% of the population is not positive.

Online dating is your best bet though from what I've heard.

Not true, that's what I learned in school. At least HSV1 is 90% of the population, I don't know how much HSV2 is though.

Yeahhh, this is not accurate. It's very hard to determine HSV1 prevalence worldwide is between 50-80% (which is staggeringly high). HSV2 varies widely by country and demographics. For example, in the United States, HSV2 prevalence among adults is about 25%, but among single women in their early 20s it's about 18% and among single women in their 40s it's at least 50%. In parts of Europe HSV2 prevalence may be as high as 75%.

Don't get me wrong; HSV2 is way more common than people realize. There are lots of STD-positive dating sites out there, and the older you get, the less of a deal it is. But it's not 90% of the population.

You have an obligation to disclose potentially communicable diseases or significant health problems to people, especially prior to sleeping with them. Everyone deserves to be informed about the potential for disease. And in some states and countries, failing to disclose your health status is a crime. That being said, HSV2 is not the biggest deal in the entire world. If the absolute worst thing about your partner is that they experience an itchy rash once or twice a year, you're pretty lucky.
