Can't tell is she just wants to be friends?

I can't tell if this girl just wants to be friends or wants something romantic.

 

Short Points:

 

*I moved to Canada from Australia and met this girl through the family I'm staying with

 

*We went out in a group of 5 the first night and her and I would subtly flirt with each other

 

*The next day the girl invited me to a house party where she mentioned we can be drinking buddies. She would always be near me. She picked me up from the house im staying at and drove me there (I ended up passing out).

 

*After this night she messaged me randomly saying "Keep in mind - theirs firewords at 'place' at 10pm wed, fri, sat, & sunday

 

*I messaged her back saying "Let's do it this wednesday' and she replied with "how about we do it friday because I have that day off and I need to study during the week"

 

*then I replied with "Just you and I this time though' and she replied with "Is that what you want?" and I said 'Yeah" then she said "Okay that sounds good to me"

 

2 days later: she initiated contact and said 'what are you doing for the rest of the day" and I said "Im heading to the gym and then I have dart night with the guys" and then she invited me to watch her play a volleyball game which I had to decline. But i thought that was a bit weird.

 

 

 

 

I've dated quite a few girls in the past but I've never really experienced this situation. I can't tell if she's just been friendly or is genuinely interested in me. I honestly can't tell if this is a date or not?

 

Do I ask if this is a date, because I don't even know if I should pay for the food or what to do. I don't have any idea...

 

Any suggestions.

Not sure if this happened already or not at this point but if not, just treat it like what you'd like it to be until/unless you see it's sth else. Works every time.

Assume it's a date because that's what you want. Stop being afraid to let her know you want to date her. Pay for her and hold hands and see how that goes and if that goes okay give her a little mouth kiss when you drop her off.
