bummer Posted July 18, 2016 Posted July 18, 2016 Anybody have any stories in which they dated a girl who... was 2-4 years younger didn't have much intelligence wasn't able to think for herself history of being an attention whore ...yet still many other great qualities? Hahaha. That's my ex more or less. And yes I wanted to date her. The attention whore part was transmuted into a narcissistic insecurity and was never overt as I imagine your lady is. There are other forms of intelligence rather than raw intellect or book knowledge. Assuming you are also young, this girl just needs to experience the world and build her identity. People who obsess over their image and getting attention are not comfortable with themselves and make awful partners. You can help. Remember you've shot the relationship in the foot already by judging the crap out of her. Just enjoy the ride and keep your distance as I'm sure she will.
Author superobert Posted July 18, 2016 Author Posted July 18, 2016 for starters, the relationship is already over. I just need to pick brains I was 21 at the start, and no real relationship experience. I had a crappy childhood + unforseen circumstances in college, hence not much experience with women other than that, I've been very well off since two years ago... grown to be called handsome/hot very often (hard for me to believe), always smart, always working, etc... very attractive young girl, we both had plenty in common with each other, despite the intellectual and maturity differences. I would like to think she'll be there one day. I think I put up with it, because she was enamored with me and of course the constant sex, I was absolutely rocking her nearly every night. I remember I didn't want the title of boyfriend at the 6-week mark .... but I gave in. from then on, at times I convinced myself of why to stay with her, as a boyfriend, not a ****buddy. I just wasn't sure how to draw the line. I can definitely see how I'm in the wrong of this now. Grew used to spending a bunch of time with her, completely forgetting that we did have pretty big differences

Doubt this woman will suddenly become ms. Einstein in a couple of years. But I wouldn't date someone like that... that sounds like my idea of hell spending time with someone like that.

Why did you want to date a woman who hasn't much intelligence, can't think for herself and is an attention who-e? What was the appeal in that?
