Passive/aggressive. Her tone is teasing, but her meaning is that she is fishing for the truth about you. It's an insecure underhanded way to see if your intentions are true or not. I would worry about this...before you know it she could be grabbing your phone and going through it if she hasn't already.

I tend to get this from women and every time it kind of surprises me, like they make assumptions about me with absolutely no details to back it up. I've always felt it was fishing. I have always felt like they wanted me to prove to them I am nota player.

The tough part is I probably make it worse because when a woman has said that to me I won't go on the defensive and try to show what how awesome I really am, I feel that is kind of weak. I probably give off more of a mildly annoyed vibe in my responses.

I just must have that look, I'm about as laid back as you can get but I when I was younger I had a couple of women tell me they thought I was really cocky when they met me. The funny thing is after I knew them later I confirmed with 2 of them that the first time we met it was a quick introduction and smile and nothing said. Both of them agreed and said, yeah but it was just their impression. I was like wtf?

I assume the 'you seemed cocky' back then was the 'you must be a player and date a lot of women' line I get now that I am older. It's weird because the women know I play a sport and work a lot. Even when I prove to them how much I have going on, they still think I am out on a date all the time.

To me it's a put off when they say that, almost like if I were to say, "You're really hot and have a nice body, you must be a trophy to a lot of guys with a lot of money".

Is that a rule?

If so, I am glad you nip that one.... not a good rule imo.

^^That didn't come out quite right, but hopefully you know what I meant. :)
