funnyman7878 Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 do you appreciate it or not? I have been receiving continued private messages from mutual friends how sorry they are about me and XYZ breaking up and that they hope we going to get back together because XYZ is such a sweet person etc. etc. Causing me much more frustration than solace as I just want to move on and forget about the past. Do you think it's appropriate for people to send these types of messages even if they believe it is good intentioned?
basil67 Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 If the intention is good, then the messages aren't wrong. However, it's perfectly OK to respond with something to the effect of "Thanks for having me in your thoughts. I know the breakup is the right thing for me and I'm looking forward to leaving this all in the past"
