This is what its like with OLD. I ve been doing it on and off fo 10 years! Only had one long term relationship out of it and one short term.

Im a bloke and musg have had 20 first dates. I dont get a lot of messages and the ones who do message me either fade or disappear and ghost.

Every date I get online flakes couple hours before the first date. Here's what I propose with regard to flaking, ghosting, etc. I think there needs to be some kind of rating system or point based feedback on these dating apps that keeps track of how many dates a person cancels, no shows, ghosts or flakes. If a user has a high number of cancelled dates, it'll raise a flag/show on their profile. "This person is flakey. Steer clear!" That way, folks know flaking or ghosting has consequences or at least folks know whether to avoid that person. That might cut down on the flakiness that gives OLD a bad rep.

Yes that is an fantastic idea, I think that would make more people be honest actually if there was an feedback system on dates. Why don't dating sites do this?? lol

One of the things that my therapist tells me is that we tend to attract people who are at the same level of emotional development as we are. I hate this and I didn't want to believe it. But I do think it's true.

So if you're attracting commitmentphobes, flakes, runners, and men who fear intimacy, you may examine yourself and ask if you have the same issues. Do you believe this is the case for you?

I look at people who have successful relationships, and they seem to think differently than I do. They are less afraid of intimacy and they seem to have a stronger belief that others will accept them just as they are.

Then people would know the truth and never use OLD again lol It wouldn't be good for business....better to be shrouded in confusion.
