I'm am getting fed up with dating. This is going down as the summer of hassles. It seems like every woman I try to date there is some obstacle in the way. I finally got a date and things went well. The conversation was good. We talked about about a second date when are schedules allowed.

As I going back to my car I hear a guy saying I need to talk with you. It turns out it was my date's dad. He feeds me this story that his daughter is unable to make decisions on her own. He said he's afraid I'll take advantage of her.

I don't understand because she's 23 years old, she's takes classes, she has a job. She has her own place and she seems fairly intelligent. I'm not sure this is just a rouse to scare me away since I look intimidating to some. I'm fed up with.

Well strike one and two on you. If the old man ain't thrilled with you then you got a problem.

Maybe he's right but the questions is if she lives at home then how do you propose to go out with her with her dad there or answering the door?

To me it smells like trouble. I would move on

I found out it has noting to do with me and and all to do with her ex treated her. Apparently her ex was manipulative and bordering on being abusive. Now her dad is being overly protective and I'm paying for it.

I never said she lives at home:
She has her own place and she seems fairly intelligent.

The entire incident is getting to me. I was on yotube watching a video and through the corner of my eyes one of thumbnails looked just like her.
