Thanks so much for your very kind words and inspiration once again! You are probably right..I think I notice it more than anybody else. I actually have even had people compliment my teeth but I guess I just feel like I would look so much better with this surgery so I am almost impatient to have it done now..lol;) I feel like once i get it done that will be the real me and the way I am now is just a flawed version if that makes any sense..lol. I feel like I cant wait to be me!

I guess I should just be grateful that there are ways to fix the problem at this point and just look to the future ahead with hope! :D

anyway, thanks again and you are right..looks arent everything. I will work on letting my personality shine in the meantime! Thanks again for being so helpful here and supportive! I really appreciate it!:D

Np chumly! :D

PM me anytime you want to talk and I hope your date goes super well on Saturday!!! Keep us updated hun!!! :D:bunny::bunny::bunny:

OP ,

I understand your insecurity , but you need to analyze the risks associated with every operation .

I am familiar with your case because i do have similar condition with my daughter ; but having it discovered at age of 5 she had her tonsils removed and hence her tongue no longer pushed her jaw.

I am concerned with the risk factor and the lengthy process ,you could also end up with a damaged jaw which can never be restored .

the concern is related also to pain that could stay for years .

if I have your picture , I would tell more if it is worth it or not ....

good luck

thanks so much for all the added responses and thoughts on all of this. I would like to respond to each post individually but I dont have time now but I truly thank everyone here for taking the time out! ;)

You have all given me so much to think about with all of this. Anything that I do would not be immediate anyway ...since I cant afford it at the moment and would need to research how I can pay.

Lorenza...I do agree with what you said about living once and that we should like the way we look!:D I have always felt that way myself. if there is a way to improve on ourselves I think it should be done if it will make us feel better! :)

I honestly would have tried to do this procedure many many years ago but I did not know about it. I had no idea that anything can be done or what exactly was wrong with my teeth and mouth. I just felt like it was not really in harmony with the rest of my face and I had always felt insecure about it but just could not put my finger on what the problem was until recently. I am thrilled to bits to know that there is alternatives out there. thankfully in the meantime my case is not a severe one so i can suffer through living like this longer but just knowing there is hope for a brighter future makes me very happy. The before and after pics of people are so amazing and inspiring. I will definitely weigh the pros and cons like many have pointed out like, Phoenician and Blackcat777. Thanks for the very interesting thoughts on it.

Disillusionment373...thanks for the very sweet offer that I can PM you anytime. I really appreciate it.;)
