Stage5Clinger Posted July 13, 2016 Posted July 13, 2016 (edited) We originally hooked up because we both like to laugh and joke.. Now she's done an abrupt face and called me childish. Could she just be faking to be fun and funny? I feel like our whole relationship has been a lie. Edited July 13, 2016 by Stage5Clinger
Maggie888 Posted July 13, 2016 Posted July 13, 2016 No not a lie. She is probably wanting somethimg more serious from you - ie commitment, security, etc Or she is just one of those who is never happy ie if you wernt jokimg aroud shed complain you were boring Hard to say without more details ie age, lenthh of dating etc 1
phineas Posted July 13, 2016 Posted July 13, 2016 Stop joking. See if she accuses you of being "boring" Keep banging and adjust or go find a woman who isn't such a complainer and accepts you for you.
Lady2163 Posted July 13, 2016 Posted July 13, 2016 Humor can be used as a self defense mechanism and to keep people away. It can be used to distract someone away from a serious topic. I was seeing a man I thought I loved and eventually I did get tired of avoiding everything. Charm and humor wear thin when the actions are not sincere. I know I'm speaking abstractly, but there were times I just wanted to have a conversation without him looking for a punchline or interrupting to tell a dummy anecdote. He used it to avoid and manipulate the flow of conversation and information.
basil67 Posted July 13, 2016 Posted July 13, 2016 Could it be that you lack the ability to be serious when required? While joking around can be great fun, it needs to be appropriate. 5
Ami1uwant Posted July 13, 2016 Posted July 13, 2016 If you are joking around when she is trying to have a serious conversation it makes her question your maturity and adulthood and your seriousness in this relationship. 2
Lorenza Posted July 13, 2016 Posted July 13, 2016 (edited) If you lack awareness when to stop joking and talk seriously, you'll piss any woman off, no matter how fun she is Edited July 13, 2016 by Lorenza 2
Author Stage5Clinger Posted July 13, 2016 Author Posted July 13, 2016 I'm sorry but I don't think any text message conversation should be serious.
Lorenza Posted July 13, 2016 Posted July 13, 2016 I'm sorry but I don't think any text message conversation should be serious. So your relationship was through text?
