longjohn Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 So I met this really nice lady (turns out 10yr older) however I think she's very intelligent, attractive and appears to have her life very well in order which I like. She's divorced without any children. Anyway of course I'm thinking all the rest of the fun things we all think when we meet a new person we like. She lives a couple of hours away we work in very similar fields however can't just exactly get together whenever we like due to work and everything else however have made plans to meet in a couple of weeks again. So I get a text from this lady one night and she says she's been thinking about me and to be fair I've been doing the same. We kind of clicked when we met. We go back and forth a bit on the texts and she tells me she can't get me out of her mind and she's starting to feel obsessed then says I hope that isn't freaky or anything as she normally isn't the obsessed type. Should I be worrying that I'll find my preverbal rabbit in the pot one day when I return home. Last time I met a lady that used the word "obsessed" she ended up stalking me. Actually she might still be stalking me! Then I thought maybe she's just invigorated by the attention I've lavished upon her when we met. Which to be fair the woman is very attractive I've little doubt she gets tons of attention of men on a daily basis. I did mention this to her however she said she didn't want a guy her age with x number of children and two ex wives plus all the drama that comes with it. She admitted she's only dated younger men for the past few years.
kendahke Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 Should have asked her to define "obsessed" so you'd know what she meant. It could mean she's thinking about you so often it's driving her to distraction and she can't get anything done. It could mean "Misery". Ask her what she meant.
Dark Horse Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 She's probably listening to crappy over-produced love songs, singing in the shower, smiling and giggling all day, and "playing with herself" to your Facebook pictures as we speak. Limerence is a helluva drug man. It's what we call being lovestruck. You know the butterflies and the excessive smiling. 1

Obsession is usually a prevailing characteristic in a person. There are other things they obsesses about. Usually, a person who does/says one thing and buffers it with a disclaimer, is exactly what they use the disclaimer for . . . Like a woman when she sleeps with a guy on the first date . . . "Oh, gosh, I don't usually sleep with a guy on the first date . . . but you're special Sit back, listen and observe . . .

But they are afraid of be seen as a slut and want to have the image as a classy girl for the outside world.
