is it possible for somebody to plan to needle somebody on purpose?

my brother says yes, he has see it go on

 

my birthday was messed up, she paid for me, reminded me of it a lot, and I offered a refund, as in I never want to see you again, which was not what she wanted to hear, but what I wanted to say

 

the needling was her interrupting all the time, dominating the convo, it was horrible

Yes, there are some people who do it on purpose.

 

For the previous posters wondering what needling is, it means to pick at everything they say, or to pester, aggravate.

Of course. But not usually among friends. Often between partners, husband and wife and in the family. Not usually on dates.

 

It is hard to comment because you do not say much.
