LookAtThisPOst Posted July 7, 2016 Posted July 7, 2016 This is the first I heard of it, I was talking to someone and they said they had a female friend where a man had attempted to scam her. And I assumed it was just online interaction only, you know, from a foreign land. But now, this woman actually met this man face-to-face. He was the REAL deal, but attempted to do the same thing as a "Nigerian prince" would, except she actually interacted with him face to face. Ever hear of this happening? Being swindled by an online person IN person?
MissBee Posted July 7, 2016 Posted July 7, 2016 Women and men are swindled out of their time and money by people they meet in real life all the time. Look around LS. You have people being tricked into and out of situations, with money included and sometimes worse. My guilty pleasure is watching court tv shows and that's also where you hear and see the real life stories of other folks who got scammed and swindled, not by Nigerian princes, but no less ridiculous, as the situations are sometimes just as unbelievable.
Michelle ma Belle Posted July 7, 2016 Posted July 7, 2016 I've never met anyone IN person who tried to scam me but have heard about it. There is no end to how far these a**holes will go for a score. Sad but true.

Being swindled by an online person IN person? I got stuck in a coffee shop a few months back in an endless conversation with this older woman who had been scammed out of thousands of pounds by a 'Nigerian Business Man' from an internet dating site. God I began to think that (entirely one sided) conversation would never end.
misspond Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 Con tricks are nothing new, there are just more ways for people to carry them out these days.
