Guy only wants to go on group dates :/

I met a super cute guy and he asked me to be his plus one on a family wedding. I met his whole family but the problem is he has asked me out twice already after that but only in double dates. I would like to just be me and him but he cancel plans bc his friend couldn't find a date. I mean that's kinda seems like he is immature? Idk :/

If a guy wants something with you...he'll make that known by getting to know you on a personal level...one to one

He likes attention. But a man who really likes you will not bail because his buddy can't make it. That is a pretty clear indication he's keeping it casual with you.

Have you suggested a date just the two of you?

 

When he canceled plans because his friend's date couldn't make it, that would have been a great opportunity to say "so let's *us* go out, just the two of us"!

 

Personally if I were in your shoes, I would have loved to hear his response to that!

 

It would also alleviate your having to guess what's going on with him (with respect to you).

 

If he gave an excuse, then it's next and move on....

We did up going out for lunch just the 2 of us. It was nice and we talked for over 2 hours. I guess I was just feeling insecure because I haven't dated in like 3 years.
