ADIDAS Posted June 27, 2005 Posted June 27, 2005 OK this puzzles me. Why do we get nervous when you call that someone or go on your first date? i mean when you think logically about it there's nothing to it,If you ask someone the worst they can do is say NO. yet we /i still get nervous. silly? What stuff works for this kinda stress relief ? besides getting hammered. And again why ? cause you put yourself on the line? Confused ADIDAS
Tony Posted June 27, 2005 Senior Moderators Posted June 27, 2005 It's pretty normal to be a bit uneasy when you first meet somebody. You are concerned about making a good impression, you don't want to say the wrong thing, you don't want to act the wrong way and you are in anticipation of what might become of things. Once you get real experienced and stop caring so much about what people think of you and just be yourself, you'll feel lots better and less nervous. This comes with time. Meanwhile, it's probably a good idea not to let your date know you're uptight. That is not an attractive quality to a female looking for confidence, etc., especially the young ones who still think there is a perfect man around...haha!

Not just the young ones. I dated a 29 year old recently who held to this theory... Originally posted by alphamale the "knight in shining armour" theory ... I guess I need to polish my sword technique
