ExpatInItaly Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 OP, do not give her money. She has a lot of nerve asking you for financial help after ending the relationship, especially given that she's with someone else now. Let her ask him for money. Be firm and tell her NO. No explanation required.
Author cgk14 Posted June 22, 2016 Author Posted June 22, 2016 i completely agree, she wants someone else, but thinks she can get away with the old perks of being with me... to me thats someone that hasn't thought this through and clearly shows a lack of confidence in the new person as she is emotionally involved, but seems reluctant to open her full life up to him.. she's trying to use me as a crutch to rest her new relationship upon...
bummer Posted June 22, 2016 Posted June 22, 2016 I hope in a few more days you give true NC a try so you can begin the grieving process in earnest. Recognise false hope as it is. See no comparison or thought of the new guy is helpful to your future. 2
Author cgk14 Posted June 22, 2016 Author Posted June 22, 2016 i paid a bill thats in my name but is her property, weak i know.
LD1990 Posted June 22, 2016 Posted June 22, 2016 It has been almost 3 months since you two broke up. Why is her property under your name? You need to get her bills switched over to her name. Otherwise, if she doesn't want to pay, your only options are either pay for her or take a credit hit, neither of which I'd be too keen on doing for an ex-girlfriend. 1
