Ladies and gentlemen, ever come across a profile where the person talks like a sailor? Dropping the F-bomb and S-bomb peppered about their profile.

Usually it's in context with, "I'm looking for someone that have their s*** together!" or "Looking for my next love, not my next f***!"

(Boy I can sure feel the love, lol)

And they don't even censor themselves. lol

Do these women actually have success with men? Are men not turned off by that?

I have no idea. How about asking them?

Eh, perhaps they are just being themselves and not putting up a fake front?

Seems like an automatic filter right?

I tend to curse a lot when in a casual setting. While I might not curse in a dating profile, if I read one with cursing it wouldn't be an automatic turn off.

If I was doing on line dating - hahaha I think now I would be inspired to slip a curse word in there to ward off the types that would be offended by it!

Probably birds of a feather, every photo of herself is a bedroom mirror selfie of tight little black dress, bikini or "pre/post work out"

I think they sound like OLD veterans. They might be irritated by all the negativity they experienced and some of it is coming through in the profiles.

You started off with ladies and gentlemen yet only asked if men aren't turned off by this. So what about if women are turned off by this? To me, it singles out women in this as a quality that is particularly unattractive in women but fine for men and sounds like the whole idea of how women should be and act ("real women don't swear" kind of idea) that's quite dated.

Now, I think it's perfectly fine to prefer someone who doesn't curse but I wouldn't read too much into cursing. I wouldn't swear on my profile, but it also depends. In real life though, yes, the F bomb and other swear words pass my lips, and if a man finds it offensive, he and I should probably not date. I did have a guy once who said he thought cursing was "unladylike." He could curse all he wanted but when I did, suddenly that was a problem. I realized that it probably meant he had other ideas about what women should be and do and how they should act that were antiquated, and sure enough, as I got to know him more he made his ideas known. Needless to say, that ended.

As most of these types of questions go: what is offensive to one man isn't to another. There is no such thing really as "don't men like this" or don't "men" hate this. No...men come in all kinds and varieties with different views and beliefs, likes and dislikes and things like this are a personal preference that will bother some and not others, heck some men might even like a woman with a sailor's mouth.;)

It would be a yellow flag for me. Not inherently bad, but there is such a thing a 'too much' swearing.

75 years ago men definitely would have been turned off by that. Nowadays..who cares?

I don't curse much but it happens from time to time. My boyfriend doesn't care. At all. Not even a little bit.
