I would be very careful if I were you. It sounds like she is okay with going out with other guys and trying to find a spark but because she isn't finding that with someone else she is leaning on you as a backup plan.

She could tell I was very surprised.

 

I told her I cared about her a lot, and always will. I am very careful with her.

 

She's always had massive walls. I've broken those down over the last 7 months and have still looking to find romance elsewhere.

 

She initiates almost everything (asking to see me, texts, etc.) She has been doing this since I backed off on trying to be romantic 4 months ago.

Yeah she loves you so much that she goes on dates with other guys... She just hasn't found anyone she really likes yet, and if she doesn't, she'll have you. (At least that's what she thinks) The minute she finds her "perfect guy," she's gone.

That's actually worse. It means that everything is on her terms. If you are always there when she feels like texting/seeing you, she has all the power.
