When meeting somebody in person from OLD for the first time what do you like to see as far as clothing on a guy. Keeping in mind it's scorching hot and you will both be outside for a bit. Shorts and a polo? Tucked in, untucked? Longer pants? Jeans? T-shirt? Nice sandals with shorts? Low cut Keds or something? This will be for the initial meeting so pretty casual with maybe drinks and casual food. It's super hot where I am like 100 degrees so am trying to figure out if shorts are cool and what else is good.

TheBathWater Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 I see nothing wrong with a t-shirt if you wear some designer jeans with it and some cool shoes. Lucky Brand has a summer denim fabric so you can still rock jeans in the scorching heat. I don't think guys should ever wear shorts, but that's just me. I vote polo shirt or t-shirt with some designer jeans and nice shoes.

Plaid shorts that have a color in the mix that match the color of the shirt or a solid pair of shorts that contrast the shirt. boat shoes or sperry's. Def. untucked. Put a wife beater on under that so you don't sweat through on the back or chest. no socks. toss some baby powder in them shoes though. not too much. don't be poofing when you walk.
GemmaUK Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 Personally I dislike polo shirts but if they are in your wardrobe then wear one untucked. Shorts is OK in that heat - combat style - never go for plaid!! Sandals or flip flops if your feet are well cared for otherwise trainers or deck shoes.

As far as tucked or untucked, I think that depends on if you can pull off the tucked look. If you have a flat stomach, go for it. If not, leave it untucked.
