Is it a bad idea to approach girls who are in groups, isn't it likely that the pier pressure from their mates is likely to lead to a less favourable respose or a conversation cut short ?

Would you think it's easier to talk to a girl when she's in a bar with just one mate, is her friend going to feel left out, or would you get your mate to closely follow you to talk to her mate and keep her company ?

....Or would you say in all cases attempt to single out a girl when she leaves the group......that doesn't seem easy as they tend to stick together like glue even to and from the toilets

I suppose if there's no chance to single them out, and no other option then you try anyway, can only say 'no'

Whatever you do, just don't force it.

That's the only rule I follow.

Right. If you're waiting for a particular woman to break off from her posse and go to the bathroom and try to talk to her then, you won't come across very well anyway.

Thanks for the advice, I'm not sure exactly what Artscrafter means here, is Artscrafter suggesting that I won't come across well if I wait for a girl to split off from her group ? - if so, how do I approach if I can't try when she splits or when she's in the group

westernxer, when you said 'don't force it' do you mean don't try just for the sake of it, if I can't get to talk to her in the ideal situation that I should try someone else ?

Waiting for a girl to split off from the group is fine, but when you said "even to go to the bathroom" I got this image in my head of a guy trying to head off a girl who's trying to go to the bathroom and trying to chat her up right then. :p That's the thing you don't want to do.

LOL. I can see it now...

Him: "Hey, how's it going?"

Her: Outta my way... I'm about to piss myself!

Ummm, blackpool, remember about how bars are not the place to really meet people? Especially you must avoid getting between the ladies' room door and a girl with a bursting bladder. Better yet, just stay away from the ladies' room altogether.

Men....so clueless...

Agreed. It's our bolthole. For every man you see hovering around the door of the ladies', there's a woman inside hissing to her friends "has he gone yet?"
