Gordy88 Posted June 6, 2016 Posted June 6, 2016 Hi, My ex broke up with me about a week ago. She loves someone else and is seeing him while still living with me. We have a kid together and she can't afford to rent somewhere else. But i can't sleep in the same house knowing she's with another guy during the day. Even if i still love her. I need her out, for my own sanity lol. Should i give her the rest of the week? Any helps appreciated
basil67 Posted June 6, 2016 Posted June 6, 2016 It's not just about how long to give her - there are also legalities you must consider. Do you rent? If so, who's names are on the lease? Or if you have a mortgage, who's names are on the mortgage? What agreement have you made about custody of your child? Are the two of you trying to limit any extra upheaval in his/her life?

basil67 Posted June 6, 2016 Posted June 6, 2016 OK, at least you don't have to worry about joint stuff. Did she pay you any rent? If so, I would imagine four weeks notice should be sufficient - but others may have a better idea than me. While I totally understand your need to get her out, your child's needs are more important than either of you. While it's all well and good to throw your ex out even if she doesn't have a place to go, it's imperative that you make sure your child has somewhere safe and comfortable to live. Desperate couch surfing wouldn't cut it.
