For me personally the whole seat up thing goes something like this......why do you need the seat up? How hard can it be to hang onto the hose, and direct a stream into a stonking big hole that's about a foot wide. Makes me think guys go to the loo and stand there hands free just spraying urine everywhere. In which case I'm a bit like..... do you need to be toilet trained all over again?

Yeah, that whole discussion just made me realise why I prefer single-hood.

It's those last few drips that usually get us

The hose doesn't go from full strength to nothing in an instant, and let's not talk about the occasional split stream.

I think the dream scenario is where a guy has the wherewithal to put the ring up before he pees and then put the ring down when he's done. That way he's not peeing on our seat and he doesn't leave a gaping hole for us to fall into. :D

Sounds like in your case you are happier in relationships, you just need to be in one with a more spontaneous partner. You know you can still have a say in what you do when you are in a relationship right? ;)

You may be right, single life has been my default for years now and it is missed at this time. I get real nostalgic over those lonely but free days, BUT, I heard someone speak about how in nostalgia you tend to forget down times, so my comment was just me reminding myself that the single life wasn't always as peachy as the moments I reminisce over.

And I can't fully blame my gf/fiance for the spontaneity lacking, we do have a two year old together plus her daughter from a previous marriage so we do have to plan ahead, which is not my specialty.

I'm working on reclaiming some of my autonomy in the relationship, I think I'll be much more comfortable and happy in the relationship once I do. I think I've been selling myself short being to nice and agreeable.

As men, we can't fathom how a woman is not checking the toilet seat status before plopping down on it :p

Phone chargers... my fiance thinks she owns every charger in the house. Mine is never where I last had it. She takes the first one available to work, leaves it in her purse or work bag or car, comes home and takes someone else's. At any given point there are 3 people sharing 2 chargers because of her. I have to go through her stuff to get the other one. If mine isn't around then she strong arms her daughter's charger. Move her charger and it's DEFCON III.

That's my personal equivalent to the toilet seat issue...

It's a democracy in my house when it comes to the loo. Lid is down therefore everyone has to lift, it's only a matter of whether one or two lids.

Hell naw. There actually WOULD be hell to pay if I see urine on the damn seat. Lid up is way, way, way, way preferable.

I mean, why not just look at the seat before sitting? I always think it's a good idea anyway, for either gender. As evidenced by the dude in Australia who got his penis bitten by a spider...

Interesting. The toilet seat conflict doesn't exist in spider country. This is the solution we've been waiting for. We need more spiders!
