The things to do in San Francisco are endless...

There are great spots for music like The Independent, The Boom Boom Room, Biscuit & Blues, The Fillmore...

The Castro Theater shows something different almost every night and is host to some great film festivals the one devoted to Film Noir.

Every Saturday morning at The Ferry Plaza is *the* place to meet the local foodies, stock up on fresh ingredients, and meet celebrity chefs at the farmer's market.

Many museums - like the new SFMoma on Thursdays - are open late.

We have a huge cocktail community and you could take classes on mixology or just experiment by bar-hopping at places like Bourbon & Branch, Alembic, Smuggler's Cove, or Broken Record.

There is hot yoga, cold yoga, running clubs, tai chi clubs, and some devoted to walking the city to see where certain films' action took place. You could paraglide over the cliffs near Daly City, wind surf in the harbor, or take sailing lessons and glide around Alcatraz.

Does this help?

Take dance lessons of some kind. Go to stand up comedy clubs, maybe karoake clubs. Maybe there's a team rowing or some other team water sport since you're there on the bay. Take sailing lessons. Any activity that isn't solitary will expand your social horizons. Good luck.

Start picking up every free paper you see & read through them. There are bound to be tons of segments about various events throughout the city.

Also check out MeetUp. com to find activities near year.

Join a running club. Most of those kinds of groups have social activities beyond just the sport which anchors the members.

Join a running club.

Thank you! Any tips for identifying running clubs (or pickup sports)?
