I only had one ex, back then, he asked me directly. He changed his fb status, told his close friends, parents after few weeks i accepted to be his gf, so it was pretty obvious. But now, I'm not sure with current one. We had been dating for more than 1 year. Both in same country but after dating for 2 months,he went back to his country permanently. He then helped me with visa application to travel to him twice, he covered all my expenses, introduced me to his close friends, went to his close friend's family thanksgiving dinner, but back then never bought me things which are specially for me, he just gave me things unwanted(but he thought I might need).Then he traveled to my country last month. I stayed at his hotel and spent almost every night together. Things changed after his travel.I won in an international contest and will attend award ceremony in London next month, but I'm still student and can't afford all those travelling expenses.He offered to cover all my travelling expenses, and he will also fly there to meet me.He even bought me 8 presents and said make sure my luggage is half empty. He also booked 5 stars hotel during our 1 week trip in London. It's surprising as he never spent that much money on me. After his travel, we do keep in touch, talk dirty and both looking forward to the trip yet recently he doesnt reach out to me. Side note, he has depressed problem, his emotion will change dramatically. After his trip to my country, and especially his spending on our first trip outside of both countries, i feel like I'm his gf but currently since he is acting distance(although he still replies with smiley face but lack of conversation and he barely initiate contact,I'm sure he is not busy at all.), I kinda getting confused. 9 days to go before our London trip...any thoughts? Side note: I lost my virginity to him during 2nd trip to his country and still bleed during his trip to my country. I do take him as someone I want to live my life with, I think thats why make me worried and confused. We did talk about looking for job in his country after graduate, 9 months to go until my graduation. Edited May 26, 2016 by le_20

d0nnivain Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 The definition of a committed relationship varies by the people in it. To me, it requires a conversation & deliberate, spoken promises to be exclusive, not date others etc. Others are more OK with the casual evolution; if he acts like we're a couple then we must be. I have never been comfortable with those kinds of assumptions.
