As the title asks, "How would you define a hopeless romantic?" Why are a lot of guys hopeless romantics. Would you go out with one that was?

"How would you define a hopeless romantic?"

Someone that doesn't understand real life.

Don't get me wrong, I like to indulge that stuff sometimes too.

But a man that takes that seriously, and defines himself as much?

I would define a hopeless romantic as somebody who doesn't look at the logically reality of a situation especially red flags.

I did date a guy who I'd say was a hopeless romantic. He had his head in the clouds about a lot of stuff.

Oh I thought it meant, that guys don't know how to be romantic, like getting the women flowers, candy, paying for meals etc.

No. The person you are describing is unromantic.

Yes, I would still date such a person if I thought he could be taught to be more romantic.

I tease my husband & call him Mr. Nomance because he's not very romantic but he does try. He has at least finally figured out that when I say I want a romantic dinner at home he should actually light the candles on the dining room table. lol

Bless your heart.

Look, I know how to be romantic.

I wouldn't describe myself as a 'hopeless romantic' in a million years.

These guys are ego invested in a certain type of game that they have seen in movies, TV, and heard in Ed Sheeran songs on the radio. They don't understand the real world.

When it blows up in their face, they say 'I'm just a hopeless romantic!' LOL.

Don't listen to these guys at all.

When someone tells you that they are 'hopeless', believe it.
