anonymousbear00101100 Posted May 23, 2016 Posted May 23, 2016 Wow it's weird to be here having gotten nearly all the way over my breakup that I thought would kill me. But now I am here because I am concerned for my friend. He has been off and on with his girlfriend for a while. It's been a rocky LDR, and he's admitted that he's cheated on her multiple times during their relationship. I obviously don't think that's right but he's still my friend. Today I saw his "girlfriend" tweet something along the lines of "how could you do that to me" randomly. I checked their bios and relationship, and all traces of them being a couple was gone. He's also been really angry and hostile whenever I've tried texting him over the last couple days. I've asked our other friends and they don't know what's up either. I asked if he wanted to talk about anything and he never responded. I'm 99% sure she found out about the cheating and left him. I don't want to pressure him if he doesn't want to talk about it, but I want him to know he can talk to me/our friend group if he wants to. Obviously he'll have to tell us eventually, so should I just come out and say "hey I know you guys broke up, want to talk" or just leave it up to him to come to us when he's ready?
Author anonymousbear00101100 Posted May 23, 2016 Author Posted May 23, 2016 Also he is the type of person to hide his feelings and drink his pain away and get really angry, and I know that probably isn't the healthiest way to handle things. I also know he isn't happy with her, hence the cheating, but it seems he's yet to find the strength to go through with breaking up and always finds his way back with her. This happened to me a lot with my former girlfriend, and it made life hell for a year before we said goodbye for good. I really feel like I can/should help because I know what he's going through.
