speaking on my experience only ...

when i was younger ( 20's ) i went for the bad boys . THE '' OOOOUUUHHHH my BF is so gonna kick your A...'' kind of guy ...

in my 30's it was important to have someone to protect , a romancer , a gentleman , yet a bit macho ...

now that i am in my 40's i would wish for mister nice guy ...

i think for me it had to do with age ... the older i have gotten the more i wanted to settle for less drama ... a nice guy ? '' do they even exist anymore '' ?

I was in my second year of college, I was still a semi nice guy, had a pickup truck, helped several coeds move, thinking it would lead to possible dates. Never happened

I was living in an apartment complex, where I met what they now call a cougar. Amongst the things she taught me was "Ladies love outlaws, you need to be more of an outlaw"

After that whenever a coed talked about moving and gas money, my reply was all that work deserves at least a BJ. My sex life took off and I never looked back.

As for knocking them up, the thought of having to pay a woman to raise my kids while I only got to see them part time, scared my into being very careful

No, by the time they're in their 40s, the 'nice guys' are taken advantage and jaded from cheating wives. The 'bad guys'' are incarcerated or on the run. The jocks joined the steel mill or the military, and the nerds went off to college and became frat guys or evil scientists. All the greasers are mechanics with guts, and all the rest of us spend all day on the internet not socializing with the rest of the world.

Thanks for the stereotyping though!

Nobodies calling me on this? Really? Should I call myself out? lol

Bad boys are emotionally stimulating, as evidenced by the impassioned threads regarding them here on LS by those who did fall for them and got burned. Even the hatred is impassioned. Never a dull moment.
