Just curious... How did some of you MEET that OM/OW/MM/MW???

I was just curious.... how did some of your affairs start? I am just wondering, please feel free to write whatever you want about how you met that OM/OW or MM/MW. Thanks!

i met exMM through my job about 10-15 years ago. we live hundreds of miles apart and would see each other a few times a year at meetings. strictly a professional/friendship until last january (2004). we'd had dinner several times in a group in the past, but when i was in his town for work, all others i was traveling with were off doing other things so it just ended up being the two of us and well, it obviously didn't end with dinner. i felt awful the next day and couldn't believe what had happened. thought it was going to be a "one night" mistake. our conversations continued after i returned home and i expressed my "concerns" about him being married. it was then he started convincing me that his marriage really was over.

 

it all sounds so stupid now, but at the time it seemed so right. because of the distance, it would have been so easy to have walked away. but i really did believe that his marriage was on its last legs and would be over in a matter of months.

we actually met on the internet and after talking etc for a few months we agreed to meet to share a mutual interest. we ended up becoming fast friends and ultimately lovers... i would like to leave the lovers part behind yet continue being friends.

The original poster said exactly the same thing. He/she wanted to know out of curiosity. I think it could be interesting and even helpful to know how various people met their SO. It's seldom productive to hijack a thread by asking why a person has started a thread. In my opinion, it's far better to take the high road and answer if you like or move on to other things.
