Don't buy that bu****t. He's claiming the victim's role for himself by saying: "I feel so guilty, this is so out of character I can't cope with it". He just has other plans for himself now, don't fall in that trap. I've been there too. They either put the blame on you, however unlikely and ridiculous that sounds, or victimize themselves to appear kinder souls than the selfish liars they truly are.

 

You'll probably go through a big rollercoaster now: you'll miss him one day, hate him the day after, feel miserable on Sunday, etc. But I've been reading your story and it sounds like he loses. You deserve something much, much better for sure.

I'm so sorry....

 

After two years with an ex of mine, I was presented with the opportunity to cheat... With a guy I quite liked better than my ex (who was a worthless cheating imbecile). Yet I managed to keep my legs shut just fine.

 

People who cheat.... They are not in inherently crappy people in some cases, but they ARE at a stage in life where they put their own selfish desires fofr instant gratification before the health and wellbeing of their partners:sick:

 

So for that reason, even if he comes back begging, DESPITE your love for him you have to realise that he has a lot of work to do before he is evena decent enough person to be worth of a healthy, loving relationship (if he wants it with a decent women anyway)

 

People who cheat and lie and do as this guy as done need to work on themselves! The best thing you can do is to take the high road and wish him well, whilst you learn not to tolerate anything less than a guy who adores you and is crazy about you!
