I met a girl and I asked her on a date to the beach which she said yes to. Problem is I'm not sure what to do once we meet up. I don't think we will be going in the water. I was thinking of buying some food and eating on the beach then going for a walk together? Any other ideas? I'm kinda nervous.

Thanks everyone.

What time of day is this planned for? Is it a day at the beach with a cooler, sun tanning and building sandcastles or is more an evening event? If the later what you described is fine Are you planning to patronize a local eatery or will you be packing a cooler & having a picnic? Either is fine but you need to have some plan. Also what's the backup if it rains? Reschedule or walk in the rain?

It will be at a restaurant during the afternoon. It definitely won't be raining. I'm in southern california. We probably will walk on the beach after done eating.

Maybe you can buy food to-go at the restaurant and eat at the beach together?

How about kite flying?

Roller blading so you get a chance to naturally hold her hand?

Is there a rental place? So you can rent the roller blade, bike, etc?

Gees! You ask a girl out on date to the beach and then ask us on how to elaborate on how to make your date successful?

What happened to drinks at a bar or good old fashioned food in a restuarant.

If you must go to the beach bring a beach ball, a frizzbee or something.

Your choice for the beach so its your shout.

Personally, I wouldnt have chosen the beach. what happens if the weather turns bad?

Like in my other posts, it won't. I'll check the weather, plus it's southern california. It's pretty much always hot or sunny. We are getting food at a restaurant, but going to the beach right after. It's across the street literally.

Are there shops along the beach front? Grab her hand drag her into one get some buckets and spades or a ball or anything then enjoy.

For goodness sake you are at the beach with a girl you fancy so just have some fun and a laugh! See who can dig the biggest hole or make a sand sculpture...

There must be 100 ideas right there as you walk along.

Just remember to keep asking her questions and get to know her

Sounds like a good date. I agree with some of the suggestions of bringing a frisbee, beach ball or kite. The ball you could bring deflated and just blow up if you decide to use it. Or perhaps bring a camera and take pictures of things you find on the beach as you're walking along? Best wishes on your first date with her!
