tapeworm86 Posted June 21, 2005 Posted June 21, 2005 This Saturday is mine and my boyfiend's one month anniversary. We've known each other since last August, but have just recently started dating. My friend and her boyfriend's one month anniversary is only 2 days after ours, so we've all decided to celebrate together. The problems is, though....I have no idea what to do. My first thought was to cook dinner and have a nice night in, but I live with my parents and so do all the others, so we don't really have any place to have it. I was hoping someone could give me some advice on what to do to celebrate a one month anniversary. I know it doesn't seem like one month is a big deal, but my boyfriend is leaving for college in a week and I won't get to see him for a very long time and I wanted to make this a really nice party, something that he could look back on while he's away and smile about. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated:). Thanks!!!
tiki Posted June 21, 2005 Posted June 21, 2005 Then make it a going away party. Don't make it a one month anniversary party. I've had bumps on my ass longer than that! Okay, find a theme and go with it. For instance, if your man likes the Sopranos, make italian food, play Sopranos soundtrack in the back, put up the BadaBing Sign with red glitter on the door and call him Tony all night. Put guns on the cake and "Hope you survive, Tony" or some crap like that. Men eat that up. But no 1 month anniv. bullkrap. You'll scare him off. No big 2do about it. Good luck, and your screenname is making me sick, yo! Hope it goes well, really.
Author tapeworm86 Posted June 22, 2005 Author Posted June 22, 2005 Ahh I the way I described it made it sound like I was wanting to have a get together with family and friends or whatever. I was planning on having a double date with my friend and her boyfriend on our anniversary, I just wasn't sure where we should go. I was thinking the movies, bowling, putt-putt... something like that, but I couldn't decide which would be the best thing to do. We always go to the movies and stuff. Should I treat Saturday any differently or just go out like a regular date. I don't want to have a huge celebration or anything, we've already gave him a going away party. I just wanted to do something on our anniversary, I'm just not sure what I wanna do. Any suggestions? Oh, by the way Tiki, your party idea was great , it really made me laugh so I'm sure he would have loved it.
tiki Posted June 22, 2005 Posted June 22, 2005 He needs to be taking YOU out. Maybe I'm old fashioned, but is he making a big deal of the one month anniversary thing? If all else fails, always go all-american. Like Logan's or O'Charleys. Everyone likes that type of food.
noname Posted June 22, 2005 Posted June 22, 2005 go bowling, or play putt putt. sounds fine. tell him that you are enjoying your time together, but don't start screaming "happy anniversary or any thing like that... tiki Posted June 22, 2005 Posted June 22, 2005 They may be a southern thing. But it's All-American type foot. Can't go wrong type of thing. but don't start screaming "happy anniversary or any thing like that... Yes, please don't!
Author tapeworm86 Posted June 22, 2005 Author Posted June 22, 2005 but don't start screaming "happy anniversary or any thing like that... Omg I can see myself doing that He loves O'Charley's so I think that's a really good idea. I think having my friend and her boyfriend there to celebrate their one month anniversary would help make it less uncomfortable. I don't want anything big, just something to show that I'm happy we made it a month. It's going to get alot harder after he leaves for college. He's going out of state, ugh. Thanks for all your help guys:D. what's Logan's and O'Charley's? I've only been there once and I just ordered a piece of chocolate cake. My friends love it though, so it must be pretty good. I'll tell you after my date Saturday if it's really great:D. Thanks again ya'll.
