Kimura89 Posted May 6, 2016 Posted May 6, 2016 Asking in general. If a women walks past you in public and you make eye contact, then she looks away and does a double take. Would that indicate some sort of attraction? Same thing if you get a prolonged stare, say more than 3 seconds? I've noticed this happens to me quite a lot these days, if I'm walking through the city on my lunch break, with different girls in my building at work, or if I go out clubbing.bars.. I personally don't consider myself attractive, I feel about average and if I'm lucky and everything falls into place maybe a little bit above average. I'm not freakishly ugly and I don't have anything hanging off my face so I'm not sure why they would double take or stare...
Gaeta Posted May 6, 2016 Posted May 6, 2016 Maybe it's your eye color, a face feature that is striking. I am used to people taking double take, men or women. It's not because they are attracted it's just that I have a dimple in my chin and left cheek. Those are just features that catch the eyes for no reasons.

And I made a note to really see who was doing it and it's always women, rarely men (apart from a few ones that looked gay).
Omei Posted May 6, 2016 Posted May 6, 2016 I am a woman I often stare at men and woman and double take when I feel they're staring at me. Just yesterday I was on the bus a seat Isle across 1 back and she would rear her head and look at me there was only 1 other person in the very back and everytime I'd catch her she would look away so I only stared in wondering why she was looking at me. 1
Gaeta Posted May 6, 2016 Posted May 6, 2016 Sometimes I double look or stare if they happen to look very much like someone I know.
carhill Posted May 6, 2016 Posted May 6, 2016 Why do women double take or stare at me?Impossible to know for sure, even if asking them but the few I've asked over my lifetime remarked I reminded them of someone, generally their father I've seen no positive correlation between stares or double-takes and any sort of attraction, genuine attraction. However, in the past, it was a common tactic MW's used to gain attention and, yup, I fell for it a few times like a ton of bricks before getting the message. IMO, spend less time examining one's own attractiveness, which is perceived in a billion different ways by a billion individuals, and more time on what one finds attractive, and go for that and accept the results.
