OP, I don't think your toothbrush has anything to do with why he hasn't contacted you. Sometimes people just fade away. If you want, you can contact him and ask him out but I would definitely NOT bring up the toothbrush. I do agree that had been into her, her leaving the toothbrush would NOT have meant a hill of beans to him.

All I know is that if a man asked me to spend the night, had sex with me (which I consider an intimate act), apologised for not having a toothbrush for me, and THEN got wiggy because I brought my own toothbrush, which I happened to forget in his bathroom... That would be it for me. I simply cannot reconcile the notion that sex -- blow jobs, oral sex, intercourse, whatever -- would be acceptable, sleeping over would be acceptable, but leaving a toothbrush is the tipping point into the land of "too intimate." Even if he hadn't, and you had just left it there. it wouldn't have made an gram of difference, if he was truly interested. Having said that we don't know for sure what is happening with him?
