so from my last thread i really liked receiving opinions and i liked getting different point of views. this time I'm not that upset or confused, i just feel like talking about it on here for some reason.

my boyfriend told me that less than a year ago when he lived in a different area, he had two sketchy friends who were dealers. his cousin was over living with him (not the sexual cousin) that he had a heated past with and they kind of disliked each other. (he was talking in a way that bringing her to this party was like getting back at her?) so he was having fun and drinking, until he went looking for his cousin. he couldn't find her, and only until after when it was time to leave. she told him that his two friends had taken her to a separate room and gave her weed, then proceeded to rape her. he was 19 at the time

he looked really ashamed of himself and totally upset.

but HOLY does he have a lot of dramatic secrets. i mean- the worst secret i have is almost stealing something when i was 7.

whats your guys thoughts? I'm not really looking for a specific answer or anything, i just feel comfortable on here to talk since i dont have too many close friends i would share this info with

and if this is just not the place to share these kind of things let me know and ill delete this or something

You can ask questions afterwards. How he handles these situations is important. I would ask him what happened after he found his cousin, did he take her to the police office, did he take her to a clinic, take her home? Did he encourage her to file a report? How he handled his 'friends'??

You know, people dont usually tell everything, specially if involves crimes and such. I dont know what to say other than follow your instinct.

Fused hon, I think we ask more questions about this boyfriend of yours.

What does he do with his life? he's 19, is he in school? How's his relationship with his parents and siblings? Who are his friends?

this is why i love coming on here it gets my brain moving. i know a lot about him, in his present time. i know the typical general history about his past, obviously i can't find out much about these gritty experiences unless he chooses to tell me.

you're right, you guys do ask more questions.

he always chooses to tell me some stuff in the worst timing, when I'm already mad about something else. and usually when he tells me things he's relating it to something else to make a point. so my brain is just in a million different places and the last thing i think is to ask all these details. i definitely need to keep my mind straight and ask more questions

his life is a little complicated to say. he moved to where i am right now 1 year ago when he was 19. from where he moved from he already had his high school diploma but this country made it so he had to do 1 year of education in high school all over again. also his license didn't mean anything here too. so he decided to work and save up for a car full time, and once he has his car he is going to do 2 months of ADULT school for his high school diploma instead of going to high school for a year.

he's really close to his mom and stepdad (his real dad left his mother when he was 6) and also to his brothers and sisters.

however he lives with his sister and her husband. they still visit their moms house almost everyday as she lives soo close to them. his stepdad has been nothing but amazing to him.

as for his close friends i would say they're all from when he attended high school for a couple months. and his friends from his old country. as well he's made some friends playing online games lol.

the story he told me was when he lived downtown, he no longer has contact with any friends like that.

Your parents met him? what do they think of him?

Your boyfriend does not sound like he's having a life plan. He's 19 I understand he wants to get a car but how long it's going to take before he has enough money to buy that car? Does he want a 5K car or a 40K car?

The risk is once he starts working and earning money he won't go back to school. It's the same pattern with all the 19ish 20ish boys out there. Even if he finishes his high school then what? Does he plan on going to college? Does he plan of learning a trade? If not then he's looking at a life long of working in manufactures.

What kind of plans you have for yourself?

my parents have both met him and he takes about 1 hour out of each time he comes over to sit and have a normal conversation with them. he's always polite and takes interest in talking to them as well as MY siblings. he's just the biggest gentleman.

he s going to buy a 5k car and then enrol in night school, once he gets that diploma he will be enrol in college.

he's going to probably quit his full time job and get part time, and once he finishes college will aim to get a better car with his new established job

i know for a fact he's very hard working and doesn't let money get in his way of his future , because he doesn't even enjoy his current job

as for myself id love to pursue a career in biology in university. i still know how to put him aside and focus on high grades
