TraceyJT Posted June 20, 2005 Posted June 20, 2005 I recently left home and got an apartment in the city. I have also been seeing a guy for a few weeks, we usually meet out at bars and parties. Anyway, we like to stay out very late and after about 3am all the good bars close and we are forced to head to seedy 24 hour dives. I would now like to bring him back for more drinks at my place. However, I don't want to sleep with him yet! I don't even want him to sleep over. If I invite him back to my apartment, is sex implied? How can I say 'stay for a few drinks then get out' nicely?!
soccorsilly Posted June 20, 2005 Posted June 20, 2005 You can't. While never implied, I am sure he will see this as an opportunity to pursue the idea of sex. If you are not into it yet, don't tempt fate and stick with the seedy after hours clubs.
ReluctantRomeo Posted June 20, 2005 Posted June 20, 2005 I agree with soccor... it's probably not implied 100%, but it will definitely look to him like an opportunity. At the risk of sounding radical, you could always go to bed around 3am and then meet for a date in the daytime... in the park or for lunch or something. Unless your guy is a vampire and can't come out in daylight hours...
SoDarnConfusing Posted June 21, 2005 Posted June 21, 2005 Well, you could do just what you said. U could tell him that you want to invite him back to your place, but that you are NOT inviting him back to have sex, but simply to have drinks. OR you could invite him out somewhere in the daytime, with no alcohol involved and see what else this guy may have to offer ya.
