I recently finished grad school and moved to a new town. While in grad school, I went to physical therapy a lot for an injury. The physical therapist was always really friendly, but I had a girlfriend at the time and so never made a move. The physical therapist and I became friends because I went to physical therapy so often, and we even collaborated on a school project at one point.

Now I'm living in a new town (so is she, which is the town my family lives in) and we are about two hours apart. I sent an email to her this week asking how she's been since we have been out of touch for a year, and she gave a very friendly response.

I think she's great and want to pursue her, but I have no idea if she'd be interested or even if she's single. In replying to her email, what's a friendly, non-creepy way to let her know I'm interested?

Hey! Glad to hear from you! Would you like to meet up for (x,y,z) and catch up in person?

I like it. Is it too forward if I include the following to make my intentions clear?

"I'll be in your area visiting my parents next weekend. If you're not seeing anyone, want to catchup over drinks?

That would be fine.

Go for it.
