What kinds of things can you send a man that are romantic? I know women love flowers, cards etc but what do men like? My ex was a hopeless romantic and should I get a chance with him again, I'd like to send something to him to show him I care.

Well in answer to the question, most men think showing up in an overcoat and some sexy lingerie is romantic. But then, that's how the male mind works.

There's a big difference to 'showing you care' and 'romantic' gifts....

Showing you care would be tickets to his fave band or football match.

Romantic gifts would be flowers (I've done it before but it depends on where he works), a bottle of Scotch (or his favourite drink), something mainstream like sexy aftershave, a good leather wallet, a tie, a money clip, sensible socks or a gift voucher to somewhere he wouldn't normally go.

Blokes are hard to buy for... they like action stuff. Girls like tactile stuff....

Oh! Just remembered... if he's that hopelessly romantic - buy him a star... we can do that here... you get a certificate and all sorts.

Or you can sponsor an animal at the zoo.... they get a plaque and stuff.. Or you can sponsor a bear or another endagered species... the money goes to a good cause and they get an instant pet.

I did the bear-sponsor thing for my best guy friend, and he thought it was ace!

Men don't usually find "gifts" romantic IMO. Guys prefer adventure with a romantic aspect to it e.g. going camping then making love under the stars, f*cking under waterfalls, swimming naked, that kind of thing. Or getting a call at work, then being driven to a hotel where the woman has hired a decadent suite for the night, and then starts off a marathon session with candles, incense, massage oils, Dom Perignon on ice etc, slow sensual music, with her turning up the heat and seducing him with more ardour than usual. That would get me going anyway!

As for tickets to sports events, or leather wallets etc, that would be appreciated but not viewed as romantic I don't think. Not much imagination involved there. Men view gifts for their usefulness, not the thought behind them. So they are viewed as functional, which is the very opposite of romantic. Women should concentrate more on doing things with their guy instead of giving them nice but ultimately fairly boring gifts.

A really nice watch.

or

Maybe a nice shirt or some underwear that doesn't have holes in it.

or

video games

I don't think I would appreciate a zoo animal, unless I could eat it.
