Does he like me

Can't believe I'm posting this kind of post at my age (30s) lol but anyway. I've always been rather socially inept and had trouble reading social ques especially from men. I thought I had gotten better at it but apparently not.

 

A couple of months ago I started a new job at a large retail store. On one of my first few days I saw this insanely hot guy working in a different department. A few days later I was standing outside the store smoking a cigarette and he came over and asked if he could get one from me. He introduced himself and we talked for a few minutes. Over the next few weeks I would be walking through the store and look up and catch him looking at me. He would also catch me looking at him sometimes. We would also chat small talk sometimes when we were both outside smoking on break. He would also call out to me and talk to me in passing in the back room if we both happened to be there at the same time and he did notice when I cut my hair (not a huge change just took a couple inches off).

 

Recently I went outside for a break and was talking to another woman and he comes out and joins us. Then another guy comes up and they start joking around and play wrestling like guys do sometimes (turns out they are best friends) and we all were talking.

 

Since then he seems different. He's gone out of his way a couple times to talk to me and mentioned meeting up on one of my breaks a couple times. One of which I didn't see him. The other he was outside when I arrived. He looked happy to see me and he made a point to have us go off to the side away from everyone else so we could talk. He also was walking trough this backroom area that's kind of small that I was working in. He had to kind of step around some boxes that were behind me and he put his hand on my back. It could have been just because of how cramped the space was.

 

Then the other day when I got to work I couldn't find my lighter and he was sitting outside with his friend. I went up and asked him for a light and his friend walks off. He then walked over to a bench so we could sit and talk. I was going to talk to him later that day but didn't see him again.

 

Am I reading to much into things or does he like me? I don't want to make anything awkward if he isn't

He probably wants to hook up with you... as far as anything serious, I doubt it. Lots of people working in retail, bars, restaurants... they have meaningless hook ups with their co-workers until one quits.

 

If you think he's insanely hot, bang him. Then after you're done you two can enjoy a cigarette together. lol.

Unless you are his sole source of cigarettes, I think he does like you and probably either enjoys flirting but might already have a girlfriend or would like to go out. Why not ask him if he has a girlfriend or kids. Get this party started!
