GettingOnWithThings Posted April 12, 2016 Posted April 12, 2016 Hi Guys, Many thanks for the kind words around my previous issue. This one's a doozy, but hopefully not as serious. About 4 years ago, I met a girl, we kissed, exchanged numbers and then started texting eachother and talking through the night for the next 5 months. It was a pretty nice thing, but every time I asked to meet up, she would just disappear, no contact for a few days, then come back. To be fair, I could only ever ask her to meet up over text, due to shyness at the time. My bad.In the end, I asked her over the phone and she told me that she was just too busy, and I reacted in a pretty childish way - unfriended her, blocked her number the whole nine yards. A complete overreaction. In any case, over the intervening years we'd swap messages occasionally, happy birthday, that sort of thing. Fast forward to a few months back, and I met her again for the first time. We ended up getting together again that night. This time, I called her and asked her straight up if she wanted to go out, and surprisingly, she said yes. We went out, had a great time, and agreed to meet up again. The next time was even better, and we started joking about being in a relationship. It was nice to see that we could still talk all night and make eachother laugh. On our last date, I was a little tired due to work and was maybe not the best company, still she seemed to have a good time, and text me after the date saying that this whole thing must mean something. The following week, I was a little under pressure with work, so I wasn't my usual self when talking to her. When I asked her out, she said that she was pretty busy, but asked me when suited. I said that any day suited me, but if she was busy, not to worry about it. Then...no reply! Disappeared again. I gave it the weekend and got in contact with her the following week, and she was really cold. Since then, I've made minimal contact, but she's made none at all. We're both in out late twenties - important to point that out as the above reads like a young adult novel I think. In any case, if you guys have any thoughts, I'd love to hear them!
